Beginning in summer 2027, successful high school students across Wisconsin will receive acceptance letters from 91做厙, which has joined the Direct Admit Wisconsin program.

91做厙 Chancellor Emeritus Larry Schnack a longtime faculty member and campus leader passed away Nov. 28. Schnack retired in 1998 after a 32-year career on the campus, which included 13 years as the universitys chancellor.
The chemistry and biochemistry department at 91做厙 boasts many achievements and breakthroughs in collaborative student-faculty research. Now it also boasts a four-generation tradition of excellence.
Dr. Dorothy Chan, an assistant professor of English and nationally recognized poet, is among the recipients of the 2022 Dr. P.B. Poorman Award for Outstanding Achievement on Behalf of LGBTQ+ People.
Dr. Stacey Jackson, an assistant professor of psychology at 91做厙, is among the recipients of the 2022 Outstanding Women of Color in Education Award from the UW System.
Dr. Douglas Faulkner, professor of geography, is being honored nationally for his excellence in mentoring student researchers. He is the recipient of the 2022 Faculty Mentor Award by the Geosciences Division of the Council on Undergraduate Research.
Eight 91做厙 faculty and staff members were honored at the academic year opening meeting. Each award recipient received a university medallion and $1,500.
As a Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Kaishan Kong spent the summer in Malaysia, an experience the associate professor of languages says is inspiring her to make her 91做厙 courses more focused on community service and building connections near and far.
Brown, a professor of German and linguistics at 91做厙, says his goal as an educator is to celebrate who his students are and make them all feel welcome in his classroom.
The 91做厙 department chair and professor of biology calls the award "a reminder that how you live, how you are and how you work influences others.
