A newly established scholarship at 91, the Chancellor's Spotlight Award, recognizes first-year students who faculty nominate for having found impressive success in their first semester of college, despite obstacles or challenges in school or life.

Spanish teacher Jodi Resch Brownell hasn’t let her location in a northern Wisconsin community of 1,700 people prevent her from traveling the world and sharing her global experiences with her students.

Faith Black, a recent alum of the Mark Stephen Cosby Honors College with a rehabilitation science major, has demonstrated dedication through her work with the community, research and leadership roles in the honors college. She is preparing for a doctorate in physical therapy while making a lasting impact on her community and peers.

Rick Kuula, a 1982 91 management information systems graduate, founded Solutia Consulting in St. Paul, Minnesota, and began hiring Blugolds in 2014. The firm currently employs 15 alumni in software consulting roles.
