What is Fulbright?
The 91°µÍø is regularly ranted as a "Top Producer" for the U.S. Student Fulbright Program. The Fulbright U.S. Student Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and provides international grants for individually designed study/research projects, or for English Teaching Assistantships abroad.

What's Included?
There is some variation by country, but most grants provide round-trip transportation, a room and board stipend sufficient to cover living expenses in the host country, and insurance. Some also provide tuition waivers and/or research allowance. See the for details.
Who Should Apply?
U.S. citizens or nationals, who have completed at least a bachelor's degree by the beginning of the grant period, are eligible to apply. The program is looking for bright, community-minded individuals with a passion for their discipline, who are interested in promoting mutual understanding through cultural exchange. There is no minimum GPA requirement. For detailed eligibility requirements, see the .
When to Apply
In most cases, you will start the application during your junior year. The 2026-2027 competition (for 2027-2028 awards) open March 31, 2026.
- If you are graduating in May 2026, December 2026 or May 2027, you can apply.
- For some countries in the Southern Hemisphere, December 2027 grads are also eligible.
- Recent graduates are also welcome to apply through 91°µÍø.
The 91°µÍø will be Friday, September 11 at 12:00 PM. Campus interviews will be held shortly after the campus deadline so candidates can meet the national deadline, which is October 6, 2026, 4:00 pm CST for the 2027-2028 cycle.

You will need to work on your application during spring semester/summer in order to prepare a competitive application.
