91's Facilities staff have added a new tool in their ongoing work to make the campus more sustainable and environmentally friendly. Liquid salt brine is now being used to de-ice and pretreat roads and walkways in a more sustainable way.

Broc Kelley, who will graduate from 91 in May with a biology major and minors in chemistry and pre-professional health science, received a full scholarship to the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. A decade ago, Kelley was homeless.

On Feb. 3, campus, local and state leaders came together to discuss implementation plans for the $9.4 million grant awarded to the university in December by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. and the state’s Department of Workforce Development.
